footprint.About this positionThe Director of Supply Chain
Management is a key member of the NDT Global Robotics team,
reporting directly to the Vice President Global Robotics and is
responsible for all aspects of NDT Global's supply chain. The
position has the overall managerial responsibilities for the global
Supply Chain, Procurement, and Warehouse and Logistics teams and
sets strategic directions, targets, and milestones. This role
develops and implements global supply chain initiatives, optimizes
global inventory, and strives to meet 100% on-time delivery while
optimizing operational alignment. The role will achieve improvement
in both reducing the cost of supplies and supplier performance in
terms of quality, delivery, and the establishment of a high
performing global supply base including internal manufacturing
capabilities as applicable.Objectives
- Transformation of existing supply chain to achieve global best
in class standards and operational excellence, including assessment
of current situation and management of change.
- Development of strategies for the optimization of demand
forecasts and demand planning as well as of the inventory
management in the supply chain (incl. inventory value
analyses).
- Develops, implements, analyzes, and optimizes processes and
standards to increase efficiency, customer focus, and saving costs,
while reducing supply risk.
- Enriches the supplier base for an efficient and cost optimal
global sustainable supply chain to meet internal and external
stakeholder requirements.
- Evaluates benefits of internal and external manufacturing in
the context of required global operational agility.Key
Responsibilities
- Leads the Warehouse & Logistics, Supply Chain, and Procurement
teams.
- Establishment / development and implementation of an end-to-end
company-oriented supply chain strategy at the global level
including performance KPIs, with the aim of optimally supporting
operational business processes.
- Development of market supply strategies, material availability
and quality, forecasting inventory quality, optimization of
inventories as well as cost optimization incl. make or buy analysis
and in-house manufacturing.
- Serve as internal SME for matters related to manufacturing,
demand planning and global logistics.
- Acts as global point of contact in all SCM related topics and
represents SCM requirements.
- Promotes optimized usage and improvement of ERP system and
other supplementary programs, providing comprehensive reporting and
measurement of KPIs within the supply chain.Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics and Supply Chain
Management or related field is required.
- A Master's degree in Business, Logistics and Supply Chain
Management or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management is
required.
- Minimum of 7 years of managerial experience with an
international, cross-functional team is required.
- Experience in budgeting and cost analysis is required.
- Experience in an international and culturally diverse
environment is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning system
(preferred SAP S4/HANA).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading purchasing and
logistics tasks is preferred.
- Knowledge and technical understanding of electronics and
mechanics is preferred.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English.Skillset
